“Fatal Four” Hazards On Construction Sites
There’s no denying that construction work is dangerous. If workers know how to protect themselves from the most dangerous aspects of their work, they have a better chance of staying safe.
According to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), there are four main causes of construction worker deaths:
- Falls
- Electrocution
- Being struck by objects
- Getting caught between two objects or in machinery
Called the “fatal four,” these hazards caused nearly 60% of construction worker deaths in 2014.
