Connecticut Drivers Need To Share The Road With Motorcycle Riders
While motorcycles have the right to share the road with other vehicles, riders are enormously at risk due to the size of the vehicles that they are operating. Unfortunately, truck and automobile drivers often don’t provide motorcycle riders the right of way or even look out for the presence of motorcycles on the road. This leads to collisions, and the injuries involved in motorcycle crashes are often catastrophic for the rider.
The costs of drivers not being attentive to motorcycle riders on the road are tremendous. Lifetime medical care for broken bones, spinal cord injuries and paralysis, and traumatic brain injuries exceed what most of us will ever make in a lifetime. The motorcycle rider may be unable to work or support their family for extended periods. In the worst-case scenario, motorcycle riders die due to the fault of other drivers.
